New Umbrello Website

Tuesday, 13 August 2013
Umbrello is the premier UML diagram tool for Linux desktops. UML is a standard for making diagrams of software, useful for documenting and planning your programs. I took over Umbrello in about 2002 and maintained it as part of my University final year project. One of the first changes that I made to Umbrello was to make it a KDE project, it was the natural home. But I never moved the website or mailing list, Sourceforge was good enough. Read More

Project Neon 5 daily builds, Ubiquity Wireless Setup

Wednesday, 31 July 2013
Project Neon is a fantastic resource for KDE developers giving daily builds for KDE software. It's maintained by the lovely Kubuntu community on the lovely Launchpad infrastructure. I expect this to prove a vital resource in developing Frameworks 5. Read More

Here is a small sample of ODF, indented for readability: Read More

Akademy 2013 Day 4 in Photos

Thursday, 18 July 2013
The day started with a long release schedule BoF. No conclusion but less freezes seemed popular. Shorter release schedule seemed mostly popular with a 4 month schedule getting a fair bit of approval. Not ideal of us though as it would get things out of sync with the Ubuntu schedule. Read More
