Path to perfection... ( a plea for feedback )

“Perfection is reached not when there’s nothing left to add, but when there’s nothing left to remove.” - Antoine de St. Exupery
I have been frustrated with the UI of Flo now for the past week. As mindmaps grow larger, I keep feeling the UI get crowded. Now maybe there is nothing that can be done to fix this. I don't know, but I wonder what you in the audience think. I feel my input is now rendered useless because after 2 years I am so trained on how it works I don't notice the UI braindamages.

Switching my context
Friday, 31 October 2008
The confirmed rumour at least on the IRC has it that I am in process of switching my job after 5 years at OpenOffice Polska / OpenOffice Software. Much of that really interesting time was devoted to Kexi within KOffice and quite a bit to various aspects of KDE on Windows. The switch has been planned about one year ago so is largely gradual. These KDE-related tasks have been already my spare time activities since then. My will is to invest a lot there.

No blog for over a month as everyone is busy with openSUSE 11.1. The release countdown counter got kicked off too again. What will openSUSE 11.1 bring? I have been using it on a regular basis for trying to organize disjointed thoughts, make coherent sense out of brainstorming sessions, and lately for every day design documentation. For those of you not familiar with mindmaps check out the wikipedia link on the subject.

Moved to Wordpress
Saturday, 25 October 2008
KdeDevelopers, while a helpful site, did not allow for registration-less comments. Since I'd like to use my blog as a means of easily communicating with the community, I've switched to my own self-hosted WordPress blog.
Systems 2008

Today the Systems Fair in Munich ended. I only spent yesterday and today there helping at the KDE booth. Eckhart and Holger spent all week there and I am deeply impressed that they still were in very good spirits and were lots of fun to manage the booth with :)
