Unit testing tutorial gets another step

I've just added another section to an example-based tutorial I've been working on. The tutorial aims to describe what you need to know to be able to write unit tests for Qt and KDE, using the QTestLib test framework. Read More

cmake && kdelibs4_ss work!

Well, I'm impressed... cmake-2.4 and kdelibs4_ss actually compile and works (and doesn't seg. fault). Grats to the hard working people on kde-buildsystem. Systems: x86 and sparc... 'make -j6' is a joy to watch... :-) Read More

Where tapas meet KDE, where KDE Multimedia developers meet eachother and more

This week has been interesting, to say the least. Monday was an official holiday in the Netherlands (called "2nd Easter Day") which I used to extend the break from work and KDE that I took last weekend. Read More

"Moving to PDF as a future print job spooling format" (linux.com)

Pipitas  |
Linux.com today published my article "Moving to PDF as a future print job spooling format". It's already generating some feedback.... Currently I'm writing down some more notes which may eventually crystalize into a series of articles. Each one will deal with one of the topics I outlined in my last blog entry. Not sure were I'll publish all of these; probably also here (I can't imagine there is a Linux-leaning news site out there that would run a series of boring printing articles over 4-6 weeks). I was told by Pérez, who was in Mallorca

"I was told by Perez, who was in Mallorca, and there the hapiness never ends during night and day", that's what an old spanish song says :) , and I had the opportunity to confirm it during last weekend (7th, 8th and 9th) when I went to Mallorca invited to give a talk at Bulma's 3rd free software conference. Bulma is one of the most important LUGs in Spain (if not the most) Read More

Safety guide

This is a photo of a safety guide I found in my plane from Madrid to Málaga last Sunday: [image:1940 size=preview] I don't know how others read that, but what I read is that Iberia recommends "for your safety" not to use Windows ;-).

I finally find some time to write on my being at the Printing Linux Summit in Atlanta from 10 to 12 April. I was kindly invited by Till Kamppeter from linuxprinting.org and kindly financed by OSDL and its partners (this time, Lanier and HP). Read More
