Lost my mug

At work somebody offered to bring me some coffee and used my cool KDE mug for it. I forgot who offered me to bring the coffee and worse .. he did not show up with mug or coffee. I suspect it is somewhere in this building serving its purpose. Damn, now I really need to go to Akademy to get me a new one.

Rectification

Bram kindly submitted the interview with Will Stephenson on the Dot. But I forgot to mention that actually Sander conducted the interview. So all cookies should go to Sander!

Local groups on the move!

I applaud the Turkish KDE community for founding KDE Turkey(cool website btw). All these local groups really do an enormous service to KDE by creating awareness in their own country.

I truly hope this inspires more people to form a local KDE group. You really can make a difference!

More KDE on laptops

Perhaps some people remember the article about HP selling laptops with a KDE desktop on it. Acer is selling Linux laptops now. Distribution used is Linpus Linux 9.2. It uses the "Friendly KDE desktop environment" as its default desktop :)

Spotted!

Spotted by Loki aka Pascal.

Pascal is one of the FOSDEM dudes. Honestly all these FOSDEM organising people are really doing an amazing job and should get more credit. Pascal especially kicks ass. Not only does he provide a lot of rpms for the SUSE community... But also at this years FOSDEM he guided a group of 20 KDE-hackers through Brussels to a secret hacking location :) (FOSDEM closes its doors after 18:00). He was dead tired I remember but determined to bring us there. Thank you Pascal!
