128 is the magic number

I know you all heared rumours about different numbers, but it prooved yesterday: 128 is the real magic number. OK, the story is much longer, but here is the summary: I just love cycling and trying to watch heros in action I browsed through the channels my DVB-S receiver gives me.

Do you know the feeling?

Do you know the feeling when your job just isn't fun because you have to come to work every day and hack at features you don't like or don't need or both? I DON'T!

And you know why? Because I work for SUSE. And the best: you can have that too!

The last weeks were pretty interesting too.

playing with python

I'm not one of those guys that promises their girl friends to not touch the computer when on vacation, but

from cvs history and found the perfect one: cvs2cl.pl

I had enough

I promised I would improve my blog rate, so here I start.

The day started interesting: Got a mail from Martin Pool asking why we forked icecream and it took me a while to give a good enough answer. In short: We didn't fork, but wrote something similiar from scratch using distcc code. Will still be interesting how this story continues though.

Thinking about beta 2

Now that the first dust about the first beta is settled, my thinking of how to continue gets more and more in foreground.

Bug fixing continues at a nice rate, but there are still some show stopper bugs that were fine for beta1, but are not for whatever comes after:
