Time

Time, going fast with no way to be stopped, relentlessly going on and on over our existences... Ok ok, stopping the philosophy now ;)

The fact is that my last blog entry is about 5 (!, yeah) months ago, and of course many things happened during these months.

Starting from the very recent events: I was able to attend to the aKademy 2007, held in Glasgow (UK), being actually my third akademy so far. As I learnt from the previous akademy's, it was a quite wonderful experience: met again some people I was able to met the last years, finally met people seen on IRC or in some mailing lists, quite fun. Furthermore, this year I tried giving my contribution to the event, doing a talk about Okular, hoping for it to be successful :) Other than talk, it was a nice occasion to do some hack "live" with other developers, like TSDgeos, the KDE-Games and KDE-Edu people, really great teams and people! Of course, some of that hack was about Okular, but I will talk about it in another entry ;)

Going back to real life, up to June university and work took many time of the 24 hours we have every day, so my development was a bit slown down. Morevoer, a colluege of mine and me were recently selected for a 6 months ERASMUS abroad, and we chose the university of Leiden, NL. These days we are collecting all the needed stuff to make us accepted from that university. It seems they are not really so picky, but with shorter times than other universities; talking with friends going to other universities (always as ERASMUS students), the deadlines they have give them an average of one month or so more time than ours. If all goes well (crossing fingers for my collegue and for myself :D), starting from next February we will be there :)

And last but not less important: a big THANKS! to all the people who gave these days new life to kdedevelopers.org, hoping for it a less problematic run in the time being [gee, I started and almost closed the entry with the same word :) ]
