wow...
So i was trying to figure out how to copy songs from my favorite Juk play lists onto my mp3 player most efficiently. So I hit up wheels about Juk's dcop interface. One word "Wow".
Juk has a nice feature, its SIMPLE. The UI is fairly clean, and doesn't suffer from the feature creep of other music management systems. Its got a powerful play list manipulator and now I have learned it has an equally simple yet powerful DCOP interface. While Scott admits some of the interfaces are misnamed, they are none the less powerful.
So I sat down with KJSEmbed and wrote a fairly powerful little script that allows me to select my favorite play list, set the size of the memory card and "fill er up!".

This app is an entire 130 lines of code, and a small UI file. Juk does most of the dirty work, and this script only searches the play list for the optimal set of songs for a memory card. KJSEmbed and DCOP are a powerful pair in KDE. I wonder how many other gems out there are waiting to be discovered....
