Interests

Since beginning 2003 he is interested in the K Desktop Environment (KDE) progress, its frameworks, and its (commercial and community) adoption on Unix and non-Unix platforms, what includes Windows platform).

He is maintainer of the Kexi Project, part of the Calligra Project (formerly, until 2010 - KOffice), creator of Predicate data access abstraction layer (formerly KexiDB). Involved in software design and bug fixes, to help in making Kexi the unique database solution for (almost) everyone.

In rare time when he does not sit at the computer, he is fond of biking, cooking and traveling.

Biography

Jarosław Staniek was born 1976 in Gdansk, Poland, and since late 1996 he lives in Warsaw, currently with his wife and two kids.

He has got MCS degree (software engineering @ Warsaw University). Since 1998 he specializes in developing multi platform applications with the Qt framework and C++.
