New KDE Four Live-CDs

    New KDE Four Live CDs with KDE 4.2.1, KOffice 2.0 Beta 7 and much more are up.

    They were built within openSUSE Build Service's KDE:Medias project in which also automatically Live-CDs with KDE trunk snapshot packages (currently 4.2.65) from KDE:KDE4:UNSTABLE repositories are built. The ISOs appear (without prior testing by anyone) here.

    PLD LiveCD

    Hi,
    my friend Shadzik has also prepared KDE4 live cds based on PLD Linux distro (KDE 4.2.1, KOffice 2.0 Beta 7, Amarok, K3b).
    If you want to try it, the isos are available at http://livecd.pld-linux.pl/
    BTW, he is doing recent snapshot compilations of kde4 (and related software), so you can test it from time to time.

    Wonderful work! I see Qt has not been updated to 4.5 yet, I thought the new KOffice needs it to work?!?

    According to the koffice release, it recommends Qt 4.5, but since KDE 4.2 does the opposite, I can understand the choice not to include Qt 4.5 packages.
