The eGroupWare resource in KDE-PIM hasn't gotten much love and attention in a long time. It compiles, but we have no idea if it really works, nor do we have anyone on the PIM team who uses it.
This is an open call for either 1) someone to take over the maintainership of the eGroupWare kresource or 2) someone to at least help us by testing patches and giving feedback.
Else... we may be forced to remove this resource in KDE-PIM 4.2.
Volunteers please contact me directly or send a message to the kde-pim mailing list.

I will gladly help in testing. If you say how.
If you say how, of course. Our office is using egroupware.
However, I was testing korganizer<>egw connection since KDE 3.4. Unfortunately due to bugs on both application it was never possible to use calendar sync for daily tasks.
Kaddressbook was syncing more or less OK.
As far as I remember egw team decided to use remote ical instead of XML-rpc due to some limitation.

Lots of users
I'm quite sure that there are lots of people using kontact+egw like I and my company :D and I am redy to help you out by testing it.
Re: Lots of users
Are you guys willing to build (and rebuild) from the KDE 4.x SVN source repository and test patches that I send you?
Do you have anyone at your company who can write some C++ and help work on the patches with me?
Keep in mind that I have no access to an egroupware server so I will be writing wild-guesses some of the time
another egroupware user...
I too run a xen egroupware server at home (it seems much more reliable than kolab which dies every night under xen and citadel is a bit self-contained)
I'd be willing to try and help with any integration issues; after all, I picked egroupware to be the centre of a sync universe with kde (and other) clients.
I also do some development on the Nokia N800 tablet under Maemo and, as you know they've just started Qt4 integration. I'm not 100% sure about the Qt/Kde relationship anymore but thought I'd mention it.
I run an egroupware server
I run an egroupware server (v1.4.004) here at my house that my wife and I share. She is using a SyncML application with Outlook 2003 while I use Kontact's XMLRPC resource. The SyncML plugin works wonderfully, while I am struggling to get past some of the bugs using XMLRPC. My server is running on a system with KDE 3.5.9, but have a laptop with KDE v4.x on it. I also do C/C++ programming professionally and would be glad to help out.
